Fresh in from Rob Swift (you don’t think I am going to take the blame do you?). They used to say, what happens on tour, stays on tour. Unfortunately the internet was at the party too!
Apparently Bjorn was trying to get his handicap cut reversed. He was trying hard.

Arriving on an idyllic evening, many of us settled into a few bottles of… what was the fizzy South African white called, Viv? Maybe Jerry will remember… Well, the second bottle was as smooth as Sonia Red’s silky little butt. Thanks, Viv!
Avril arrived on the scene touting a cheeky little focacia which went down in record time as Viv took the podium to welcome another set of committed golfers to the party. Third year running and getting stronger!
Later we moved down to the river for dinner and the rest of the crew arrived. Except Bjorn of course. We’ll save him for tomorrow. I just need to add that Tom was looking resplendent in his suave beige jacket and mauve polo. Well done, sir!

How about these beautiful promo girls for next year’s VivThomas.com Masters Golf Tournament? I’d say its a no-brainer! Lets get the kitty going for the golf girls.
Golf & Program of Events.
Sunday 6th June 2010.
- 6-00pm. Welcome drinks at my house on pool terrace.
- 7-30pm Dinner. Ciclista Restaurant
- 10-30pm Nightcaps @ Pink Flamingo Bar.
Monday 7th June.
- 11-28pm first tee off. Benamor Golf Club, Yellow Tees.
This golf course is wonderful for your ego, it’s relatively short and no real trouble if you hit it way off line. Most average golfers can get onto a couple of the par 4′s in one. Some very high better-ball scores expected and the high handicappers should really enjoy this one.

1st Tee. Competition for the day: “Better Ball Stable-ford”. Each player plays off their own official handicaps, best score to count.
- 7-30pm Dinner at Al-Margem Restaurant.
- Late. Nightcaps @ Pink Flamingo Bar.
Tuesday 8th June.
- 11-14pm first tee off. Quinta da Cima Golf Course.
An extremely scenic course meandering through the orange groves along the coast. Very forgiving if you are hitting the ball a bit wildly, but still quite challenging.
1st Tee. Competition for the day “American Foursomes”: Both tee off, for your 2nd shot play your partner’s ball. For 3rd shot choose best one and play only one ball with alternate shots, for rest of hole. Handicaps to be added and divided by 2.
- 7-30pm Dinner @ Joao Belhi Rest. Regional.
- 10-30pm Nightcaps @ Pink Flamingo Bar.
Wednesday 9th June.
- 11-14pm first tee off. Quinta da Ria golf Course..

This is a top notch course which will test the low handicappers. If you’re having a lousy day on the course, don’t worry, this course is well worth the walk, with one of the nines all along the shore. The competition for the day should help ease the pain.
1st Tee. Competition for the day, “Better Ball-Texas Scramble”. Both tee off, choose the best drive then play both seconds from this position. Choose the best 2nd shot, both play your 3rds from the same spot and so on until one of you holes out. Handicaps should be added together and divided by 2. Warning don’t tap your own putt into the hole!!!!
- 8-00pm Dinner @ Ciclista Restaurant.
- 10-30pm Nightcaps @ Pink Flamingo Bar.
Thursday 10th June.
- 11-04am first tee off. Benamor Golf White tees.
Back to our home course, but this time off the white tees. If you thought the first day was easy or a breeze, you’re in for a very interesting experience off the whites.
1st Tee. Competition for the day. “Better ball American Scramble”. Both players tee off, choose the best drive and play both balls from this spot, rest of hole is played as normal BB Stable-ford. Each player plays off their own official handicap.
- 7-30pm Dinner @ Quatro Aguas Restaurant.
- 9-00pm Prize Giving for overall Winners and Runners Up.
- 10-30pm Nightcaps @ Pink Flamingo Bar.
Friday11th June.
Thank God it’s Friday ! Hope you’ve had great time with us and have a safe trip home. Hope we’ll see you all next year.
A country club didn’t allow women on the golf course. Eventually, there was enough pressure that they decided to allow women on the course during the week.
The ladies were satisfied with this arrangement, formed a women’s club and became very active.
After about 6 months, the club board received a letter from the women’s club complaining about the men, urinating on the golf course. Naturally, they just ignored the matter.
After another 6 months, they received another letter reminding them of the previous letter and demanding action.
After due deliberation they sent the women a letter advising them that they had been granted equal privileges!…..
